- Install hinge.
- Calculate the adjustment needed.
- Choose the proper hinge shim size (see chart below).
- Loosen the wood screws on both sides of the hinge and slide the shim behind the hinge backplate.
- Tighten the wood screws and check for correct adjustment.
- Portals shims are designed for easy installation.
